OLED technology: what is it and why is it so expensive?

• Better viewing angle and response time : screens with this technology offer a better viewing angle from any point compared to LCDs that, depending on their quality, can vary by just turning the point of view a few degrees. As with the response time in OLEDs, it is 0.002 milliseconds compared to 2 milliseconds for LEDs. This means that we will not have the known ghosting effect in these panels when there is a lot of movement in the action scenes.

Of course, not everything was going to be good on these screens and they also have some disadvantages :

• High manufacturing costs : despite the fact that the first OLED displays were launched in 2014, they are still not in many homes today and therefore the number of sales is not too high.
