The new generation consoles have been with us for some time now, little by little showing what they are capable of. The big problem that all of them have, especially PlayStation 5, is that demand is much higher than supply, so to date it is very difficult to get hold of one of them. This is not going to be an impediment for the PlayStation 5 (both in its version with a reader and without it) to rise in price. We tell you more about this rise.
As we say, when it comes to the new Sony consoles, today the supply is still much lower if we compare it with the great demand for the PlayStation 5. Most of the businesses in our country take out new shipments of these from time to time, but with the current demand it is very difficult for people who have not yet done so to have the opportunity. Unfortunately, all these people are going to see how now it will be more expensive to get one of these consoles.

Inflation, the main culprit of the price of PS5
Sony has announced through an entry on the PlayStation Blog that it has been forced to raise the price of its new consoles in a fairly long list of markets due to inflation . Interestingly, this price increase will not affect the United States in the slightest, but it will affect Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and Canada.
Jim Ryan, President and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE): “We are seeing high rates of global inflation as well as adverse currency trends affecting consumers and creating pressure on many industries. Based on these challenging economic conditions, SIE has made the difficult decision to increase the RRP of the two PlayStation 5 models in a number of markets.”

These new prices that the two PlayStation 5 models will have will take effect from today , except in Japan, where the increase will take effect on September 15. Despite this price increase, Sony’s priority continues to be to increase the supply of its consoles so that more people can make the generation jump and get hold of one of these consoles around the world.
In Europe we will see a fairly large rise, specifically a rise of 10 percent , being in the United Kingdom of 6 percent. The new prices for Sony consoles will be as follows:
