For quite some time practically any computer has already been connected to the Internet, in this way we can download all kinds of files and programs. This can cause a problem on our computer if we are not careful. It may be the case that we download or run any item on our PC that can modify the system and cause us problems. In this case, to protect our system we can choose a tool like Shadow Defender .
What is it and what is Shadow Defender for?
Shadow Defender is a security tool for Windows that works under a virtual system called Shadow Mode and that is in charge of protecting all our files and documents, when it detects any unwanted changes in the system or malicious activities, so that these changes do not affect the physical section.

This useful tool is executed under a virtual system, so that it is in charge of directing to this environment any unwanted change that occurs in the system, so that this change only occurs in the file itself and never to our real system . Basically, what it will do is create a virtual copy of the system on which the programs are installed before they can affect the system. In this way, we can download files and programs without worrying about how they may affect our system if they contain any type of malware or virus.
In case of detecting any anomaly or unwanted change, it will be enough to restart the system to a virtual system without changes in our real system, and in case we verify that the program does not negatively affect the system, we can deactivate the virtual system to be able to actually install the application.
With Shadow Defender, we have complete flexibility to indicate that files and folders are permanently saved in a real environment. This ensures that all of our important files and folders are maintained after reboot.

Create a virtual system to ensure the good condition of your PC
Shadow Defender has an interface that has a good functional and visual section although it is available in English. It has a single taskbar on the left side from where all operations are performed.
In the System Status section , it will allow us to see the state of our system, showing us our hard drive with all the available information, such as its capacity, format system, total free space or total occupied space.

The next section, Mode Setting will show us our hard drives, so that we can indicate which one we want to apply Shadow Mode to. When the hard disk is in this mode, all changes made to it are redirected so that they do not affect their original state. To activate it, we only have to select the chosen Volume and press Enter Shadow Mode . In case we want to disable Shadow Mode, just click on Exit Shadow Mode.

Excluded files or folders can be added and password protection
Next, we have the File Exclusion List function. From here we can add the files and folders that we want to exclude from protection. It will be enough to select Add File or Add Folder to access and add any file or folder that we want to exclude and press the Apply button to confirm it. In case we want to delete any file or folder, just press the Delete button.

We also have the Registry Exclusion List option, from which we can add a list of registry exclusions. In this way we can add all the elements of the registry that we want to exclude, and press Apply to confirm the changes. Likewise, if we want to delete any excluded record, we can do it by clicking on Delete.

With the Commit now function, we can add files and folders that we want to save within the original volume, using the Add File and Add folder buttons, and click Apply to confirm the changes. This way all files and folders will become part of the original volume.

From the Administration section we can configure some program settings. From here we can enable or disable the program to start when Windows starts, enable an extension in the Windows context menu, enable password control, enable it to send us notifications when we have little free space on the protected volume or activate hibernation when we are running Shadow Mode.
