It is practically impossible to find someone who does not know Android Auto. Google’s smart navigation system is one of the most popular applications of the moment. Mainly, because you can quickly control your mobile phone without having to take your eyes off the road significantly.
Unfortunately, Google warned a few months ago that the application for your smartphone will cease to be operational after the new operating system update. This means that with the arrival of Android 12 you will not be able to use the software, since it will be replaced by the Google Assistant and its driving mode. This is not a very effective way to troubleshoot Android Auto, but what to do about it.
Matter of time
The end of the American company’s navigation system for mobiles is a fact. The application will not be supported when your device is updated to the latest version, although it does not have to be instantaneous, as a migration process to driving mode is underway. This means that if the manufacturer includes your terminal among those capable of receiving Android 12, it is a matter of time before it stops working, although it is unknown when exactly.
At the moment only some smartphones have the Big G OS update and can even continue to use the software until the migration to driving mode is fully completed. In any case, as the months go by, the list will increase progressively. These are the mobiles that will no longer enjoy Android Auto:

This is not a really long list. Above all, taking into account that some of them are only experiencing the beta , but it will grow gradually until it occupies a large part of those launched from two or three years ago until today, although it all depends on the update policy of each brand.
What about Android 11 or lower
If your terminal is not chosen to carry out the update to Android 12 you are in luck, because Android Auto will continue to work correctly until further notice as long as the Xiaomi errors for the driving system do not spread. This does not mean by any means that it does not have an expiration date, although this is still a long way off.
The reason to think that at some point Google may begin to make the transition is because phones that have Android 9.0 onwards have the Google Assistant driving mode.
Even so, Android Auto is not completely finished, since it is still available on the screen of your car . Only the mobile application disappears. An app that, for now, can continue to be used from Android 6.0 to Android 11.0 without any inconvenience. It is not known for sure when the end of the navigation software will come, so it will be necessary to be attentive to know it in advance.
