Amazon is an online store where we find practically everything and that generally offers us competitive prices on many of the products that it sells directly to consumers. But Amazon is not always the cheapest and we can find interesting bargains and bargains in the competition. In that case, we explain a trick to lower the price of a product on Amazon.

How to get the price down: Tell Amazon
The key is to tell Amazon that there are other stores that offer the product at a lower price. The company itself has a section where we can do this. To find it, we first have to choose the product whose price we want to lower. This will not help you get the latest iPhone for 100 euros, but it will help you get a discount if there are other websites that offer a lower price that same day and you want to get it with a discount.
The steps are very simple: the first thing we must do is choose the product that we want to lower in price and look for it in the online store. Once we are inside the product we have to look for the “Product Information” section at the bottom. Scroll and we will see sections of questions about the product, photographs, details. Until you reach “Product information” as you see in the screenshot below. Here we will see information such as technical details (size, manufacturer, brand…) or additional information such as when it has been sold on Amazon, what is the average customer rating, etc.
Right in this section, as you can see in the previous image, we see the section “Help us improve” along with the question: “Do you want to inform us about a lower price?”
Tap on this option and we will see a message from Amazon that indicates “Have you found a lower price? Inform us. While we can’t match every price you send us, we’ll use your feedback to make sure our prices remain competitive.” Once you’re here, we need to choose where we’ve seen a lower price: on a website or in a physical store. We choose one of the two options and we will have to fill in some data:
- URL of the store where it is sold cheaper
- Store price in euros
- Shipping costs
- price date
We can also do it in the case of a physical store where we will fill in:
- Store’s name
- City where the store is where it is cheapest
- Province (select through the dropdown)
- Price in euros
- Date of the price you have seen cheaper
Once we have filled in all the boxes, we click Send opinion , and Amazon should lower the price after a few hours or a few days if the conditions are met and the price is really lower.
Requirements and conditions
Although it is a good option, it will not always work for us and not everything goes to lower the price on Amazon. It will not always allow us to follow these steps to notify that there is a store that has it cheaper. If you see your mobile in a Chinese store that is worth less than on Amazon, this trick may not work for you.
It is important to note that this store has to meet the same conditions as Amazon. For example, that the store is Spanish, or that its products have an invoice and pay VAT in Spain . If, for example, we put a link to Chinese stores that export to Spain, such as eglobalcentral, the price will not drop because that store has a different distribution channel than the one followed by Spanish stores.
How to see if the price has dropped
How do we know if a price is really worth it or not? How do we know if it’s down? Easy, there are comparators that allow us to follow the price of a specific Amazon product over time , so this allows us to know what its minimum price and maximum price are in recent months. We simply have to go to one of the comparators and enter the link of the online store.

In addition, we will see the usual average prices whether the seller is the online store itself or if we want to see “new third-party article” or “third-party used article”. We can see all the details of price change and we can register with our email when it has gone down.
