Caring for the environment has become a capital issue, with more relevance than politics, and on some occasions, than the economy. The society as a whole is joining the protest for greater respect for the Earth, along with influential personalities such as Leonardo Di Caprio, Emma Watson, the phenomenon Greta Thunberg… We are damaging the Earth, that is a reality like a temple, but that does not mean that we can contribute with small contributions.
And we are not talking about an economic contribution, we are talking about that with small actions we can help to improve the health care of our planet, even from home. From Android Ayuda, we are going to put the means so that we all put our little grain of sand with some apps to take care of the environment.

Ecosia
It is a search engine that seeks to contribute with the planting of trees with each search that we carry out. Its operation is based on Chromium, including functions such as incognito mode, a section for downloads, among other typical browser options. The idea of this project is to plant a billion trees for this year, all of it financed with the searches and the pages that we visit in the app.
Too Good To Go – Save food around you!
If with Ecosia we saved millions of trees and other plantations, with this app we can save millions of kilos of food that is thrown away. It is the Just Eat of the food that is left over or that is cooked and finally it does not end up being sold, being the intermediary between the customer and the trade. The store or the restaurant prepares the food for its perfect intake, we buy it from the app and we go to collect it. Thanks to this, we eat for less money and also, we look for the environment.
AIR-E Smart Recycling Assistant
It is a virutal assistant that allows us to solve doubts about the recycling of many products or to know data about ecological wear. What this program is about is achieving greater user awareness, and it is a platform promoted by Ecoembes, a conglomerate of the main industries in Spain to respect environmental measures.
urbi – urban mobility aggregator
It seeks to maximize the use of public transport or the most ecological possible. Find outlets for cars or electric motorcycles to rent, as well as show the location of bicycles or other transport such as the urban bus and the subway. Also, consider the possibility of vehicle sharing, in the purest style of BlaBlaCar.
JouleBug
This app will be on top of us throughout the day, to propose challenges that contribute to greater environmental respect. Challenges as basic as washing clothes with slightly colder water, changing light bulbs or turning on the tap only when necessary. In addition, it has a community with which we can interact to resolve doubts or share challenges achieved.
Garaikoa
This app acts as a shopping basket, but virtually. It offers us all the foods that have a low environmental impact and that we can find in our area, in addition to showing the nutritional information of each of them, especially fruits and vegetables.
Clean Point
It is something that almost everyone already knows. The Clean Points are places to leave those objects that cannot be recycled in any way, and these facilities manage them to reuse them or give them a second life. With this app we can know the closest Clean Points in our area, so there is no longer an excuse to go to them instead of going to the common landfill.

SPE
Build a building or a house? This app is a database that works as a comparator to assess the best options in the construction of a new, more environmentally sustainable building, both with materials and in water and electricity installations.
Carbon Footprint Calculator
A calculator that reveals the impact of each individual on nature. It measures what we contribute to ecological wear and tear in our day-to-day, from taking the car to the time we stay in the shower. Basically, it reflects what is known as the ‘Ecological Footprint’ , that is, our management of existing natural resources.
Environmental challenge
It uses all computer resources to educate users. Data and news on pollution of water, air and vegetation of each country, as well as notification of events related to the environment, be they concentrations or fairs. Lastly, it has a set of challenges to motivate us to be more responsible with our ecological impact.
