All Xiaomi Phones that will Receive Android 11 (and Those that Do Not)

The list of the lists has just been filtered. At the same time that almost all Xiaomi users are pending the update of their phones to MIUI 12 , the complete list of brand phones that have been updated with the latest version of Google’s operating system: Android 11 has just been leaked.

However, as striking as the mobiles that will be updated with the new software, are those that will not. And we say this because days ago the Chinese brand already promised that its oldest and cheapest mobiles would receive MIUI 12. Today we discover the “fine print” of this promise. It will be a version of MIUI 12 based on Android 10 .

According to the leak published by Xiaomi Today , there are a number of models released to the market with Android 9 Pie that will only receive an operating system update to Android 10, leaving them out of the eligible Xiaomi phones with Android 11 . These are the:

Redmi Note 8 Pro
Redmi Note 8T
Redmi 8
Redmi 8A
Redmi Note 7
Redmi Note 7S
Redmi Note 7 Pro
Redmi 7

Last month the brand indicated that in August cheap mobiles such as the Redmi 8A and the Redmi 7A will receive MIUI 12 but neither these nor their older brothers will get to test the honeys of Android 11. That yes, it is to imagine that much of its news they will be adapted at the manufacturer’s customization layer. However, that is still bad news for the owners of all those phones of the brand that, if confirmed, will only receive a major update to the operating system.

Fortunately, there are many more mobiles that will receive the latest version of the operating system than those that run out of it. According to the brand itself, almost forty phones in its catalog will receive Android 11 throughout 2021, when Google releases the final version of the software. In this list there are models from Xiaomi, Redmi, Pocophone and BlackShark.
