After being completely abandoned for a couple of years, the Xiaomi sub-brand returns with more strength than ever. If two months ago Poco presented its Poco F2 Pro boasting great features, now it adds the Poco M2 Pro to its catalog, being the first mid-range of this brand specialized in marketing leading-edge mobile phones at low cost.
Unfortunately, the brand has not left large spaces for surprises in this new phone because once again it is a mobile that we already know, renowned for the occasion. When we all waited for a new phone that of war in the middle range the brand repeats strategy and relaunches an already known mobile phone with another name. How many times will the brand launch the Redmi Note 9 Pro hidden behind a different nomenclature?
Poco M2 Pro features
Of course, unlike the F2 Pro mentioned above, we can’t include this Poco M2 Pro with a flagship, but it can be an attractive option for users who prioritize battery life. And it is that the great virtues of the Redmi Note 9 Pro are also present in this smartphone that joins the Poco catalog. We are referring to the presence of a 5,000 mAh battery with a 33 W fast charger included in the box that, according to the manufacturer, is capable of recharging 50 percent of the cell in 30 minutes. These battery specs, combined with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor, anticipate a smartphone with above-average range.
The M2 Pro also has a 6.67-inch, 1080p resolution LCD screen with a 16-megapixel selfie camera perforated in the center of the screen. There’s a fingerprint sensor built into the power button, and behind the camera setup includes four sensors: a 48-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle, a 5-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2 megapixels.
The phone is available to buy in India in green, black and blue color options, and as for the memory configuration we have, on the one hand, 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM and on the other, 64 GB or 128 GB of storage. There is also a microSD card slot.
Price of Poco’s new mobile
The Poco M2 Pro with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage will cost Rs 13,999 in the eastern country, that is, a little less than 180 euros at the pure and hard change. The 6GB / 64GB model is priced at Rs 14,999 (about 200 euros) and the 128GB model with 6GB of RAM costs Rs 16,999, i.e. just over 220 euros.
Since in Spain we can already buy the Redmi Note 9 Pro we do not expect this new Poco phone to go on sale.
