Once again we attend a semented launch of Xiaomi. If in July of this year the Poco M2 Pro arrived in stores and yesterday the Poco X3 NFC was presented, now it is the turn of the POCO M2 , a phone that arrives to be in the middle of the catalog of the sub-brand of the firm China.
Returning to return to that POCO M2 Pro that we talked about before … When it was presented in its day we could all buy that it was nothing more than a modified version of the global edition of the Redmi Note 9 Pro with slight differences. What mobile does this particular model look like?
POCO M2 Specifications and Features
If we stick to the design, the mobile reminds us a lot of the Redmi 9. On paper, Poco’s new phone has a large 6.53-inch IPS LCD panel with Full HD + resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a small notch in the form drop of water. The screen is protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 3 like its rear cameras. The phone is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery that promises a 2-day battery life. We can also charge it quickly thanks to its 18 W charger.
Under the hood, Poco’s mobile houses a MediaTek Helio G80 chipset equipped with HyperEngine gaming technology that intelligently manages resources, promises a more fluid gaming experience. This processor is accompanied by 6 GB of LPPDR4x RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. There is a dedicated microSD card slot for additional storage.
Regarding the photographic section, the POCO M2 has a four-camera system in the rear. It consists of a 13-megapixel prime lens, an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 5-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel focus assist lens. For selfies, the phone has an 8-megapixel front camera.
The smartphone works with MIUI 11 based on Android 10 but the company has promised to release the update to MIUI 12 for mobile users soon.
POCO M2 Price
The POCO M2 has been presented in India with a price of R 10,999, slightly less than 150 euros at the change for the version of 6 GB of RAM + 64 GB of storage. The price of the 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage version is 12,499 RS (around 160 euros). The phone is available in Pitch Black, Slate Blue and Brick Red colors.
