With the Xiaomi Mi 11 already presented in China, it is likely that there are those who wonder whether or not the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro is a device that is worth knowing that there is a successor. Well, I’ll be clear, yes and a lot. But if you think so, I’ll tell you my experience of using it.
One more Xiaomi, but not just any
Xiaomi’s catalog is a real chaos if you don’t follow the company’s news closely. Even so, it is very easy to get lost among models that you do not know well if they are superior or not compared to others. But there are models that are easy to locate, the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro is one of them.

This phone is a high-end proposal and not because it bears Pro as a last name, but because as soon as you look at its technical sheet you realize that it offers the best that is currently on the market with the permission of the recent Mi 11 and its Snapdragon 888.
So, first a quick review of its specifications and then I continue to tell you how my experience has been after three weeks of use as the main device.

As you can see, if you are more or less aware of the hardware issue, you will see that you are in front of a high-end team. But beyond all this, the best thing is that the price of the terminal without being super low, is very good compared to other proposals. For 600 euros you can get the Mi 10T Pro with 256 GB of storage.
Still seems like a high price to you? Well, when you know my experience of use, you change your mind.
An elegant and forceful design

Removing the main camera module, from the design of the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro I think we can only say that it is elegant and forceful . Because it does not turn out to be a compact device but rather the opposite, but it is very attractive and shows that Xiaomi already has a very high level of manufacturer of phones in certain ranges.
Of course, there will always be preferences in terms of design, but in general, and despite not breaking the mold, it does offer high quality finishes and very well executed finishes.
However, take a look at the pictures and judge for yourself. The only negative point, although it is a matter of adaptation, is what the main camera module stands out . A rectangle that does not bother despite having a gender size, but the bump is noticeable quickly.
Still, if you put the included silicone sleeve on it, the issue is a little more concealed. So seeing as practically the entire industry offers something similar right now, it is not a drama that this is as it is.
First hit on the table, your screen
The screen of the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro is undoubtedly one of the great values of the terminal. An IPS panel that does not stand out for its sharpness because it offers an FHD + resolution, but it does for its refresh rate: 144 Hz .
Yes, this refresh rate is normally something that they have bet on gaming phones like the one I was also able to test recently, the Lenovo Legion Phone Duel, but Xiaomi has decided that it can be a great idea in order to differentiate itself from the rest of the options and achieves.
The experience is extremely satisfying in every way , it doesn’t matter if it’s just scrolling through the operating system or running a video game capable of reaching such a frequency. Of course, not only the refresh rate “lives” the multimedia experience.

In terms of color, brightness and saturation I have no complaints either. The screen shows all kinds of content in an optimal way and whatever you see, you will do it with great quality.
In addition, this refresh rate is adaptable to the needs of each moment, so that you can be calm in the face of energy consumption. It won’t drain your battery. And if you fear it for any reason, in the settings you can change the maximum rate it will reach. But trust me, it’s worth going to the max and just enjoying the experience.
It doesn’t sound bad at all

If you are going to watch videos or listen to music, although the ideal is always to do it using headphones (also the most recommended so as not to disturb those around you) the double stereo speaker offers a pleasant experience.
Ok, in terms of sound it will not be the best, but in general it is at a good level and that is something that many high-end ranges that cost more cannot say. So good for Xiaomi in this section. As well as the issue of the microphones, which capture quite clear audio on calls.
Performance and battery: zero problems
From the hardware I have already told you that this Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro offers the best of the best. It is true that the Mi 11 is already presented and it will include the new Snapdragon 888, but the 865+ is still a real beast capable of dealing with any type of application or game.
In addition, with 8 GB of RAM and a very fast UFS 3.1 storage, you will not notice any type of setback when it comes to demanding a performance from the device above those that the vast majority of users need in their day to day.
And yes, all this without compromising autonomy. First of all because with 5,000 mAh there is plenty of capacity to last the whole day. And if you don’t use it very intensively, you can get to a day and a half or two without problems.
So, do not hesitate, this phone is a high-end and as such the experience is too. So, added to its fantastic screen, you can even use it as a gaming terminal if you are into playing on Android.
Let’s talk about his eyes

The Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro has four sensors, one is on the front and the other three on the rear module. So we go first with one (the one with the selfie camera) and then with the rest.
The 20MP selfie camera offers good results in all kinds of situations. Possibly this is one of the best front cameras on the market and some terminals would like more to have such a camera. Especially this year that more than ever we have had to resort to this camera for videoconferences among other uses.

Regarding the rear camera, although there are some decisions with which I do not fully agree (such as the macro sensor) I have to say that beyond the resolution what I really liked is its versatility.
With the 108 MP sensor, not only do you have a resolution of heart attack, even capable of recording 8K video, but also the possibility of zooming based on making a digital cutout on the sensor. It is true that if you want to reach those 30X that it offers, the detail is lost quickly, but the 5X and even 10X are sometimes quite usable and provide an interesting extra.

The wide-angle sensor for its part is not wonderful, but it gives you that game that in good light is quite interesting. And about the macro sensor … little to say, if you are passionate about this type of photography it is great , but I would have preferred a sensor with a zoom lens to avoid having to resort to digital cropping. Still, the quality of the camera is very good in most situations and that is appreciated when you invest certain amounts in a phone.
It is high-end and its price does not go up

As you may have seen, there are some details that I have not commented during this analysis of the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro 5G related to software or biometric security, so before giving you my final assessment I will tell you quickly:
- The software is MIUI and I think we all know what it offers. A very particular layer, but one that has adapted very well over time, it offers many options and performance is not affected by being overloaded or poorly optimized. It is not my favorite within Android, but the truth is that I always enjoy its experience
- On the fingerprint reader and facial recognition, both work well and fast . The reader is on the start button, something that we have already seen a lot this year 2020 with other terminals and once you adapt there is no problem because it is not under the screen. Of course, if you are left-handed like me and you don’t have big hands, it may cost you a little more to reach it with your index finger.

And now yes, after three weeks using the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro I am clear that it is the best Xiaomi that I have been able to try throughout 2020 and its price seems very fair for everything it offers. It is very close to what some mid-range ask for less capable hardware, and below what other proposals want you to pay for not offering anything really groundbreaking with respect to this phone.
Therefore, if you are looking for a high-end that does not skyrocket in price, you probably will not find anything better. I liked it and I would not mind if it was the terminal that accompanied me in my day to day.
