That Xiaomi‘s new operating system has been installed on some devices for a long time that does not mean that the brand has stopped working on MIUI 12 . Through successive betas of the manufacturer’s operating system, the last layer of customization continues to obtain new functions and improvements.
This same week we highlighted that the latest beta updates of MIUI 12 have brought many new features and improvements to the MIUI Camera application, the browser or different software system applications but the brand now adds changes to the system interface that begin to open the door to what we can expect for MIUI 13 .
The technology brand has just launched a new closed beta version of MIUI 12 with several changes to the new App Vault, the lock screen and notifications, as well as the dark mode that Xiaomi implemented in the previous version of its software.
More changes in MIUI 12
For now you will not be able to test these changes on your mobile but you can imagine that you will receive them sooner rather than later. These new features appear in version 20.11.10 of the software, available for internal testers and brings the dark mode to the new App Vault along with a new user interface for the configuration of notifications on the lock screen. Vault is a drawer of applications, notifications and widgets that shows all the information at a glance and for which the firm is betting in its successive MIUI 12 betas.
Apart from that, there are new options to configure group notifications that make it easy to categorize them according to user requirements.
While the latest beta update is currently only available to internal testers in China, it is to be expected that the brand will add these new features to the public beta of the operating system in its home country next week. Then it would be the stable Global ROM that should allow users to enjoy these changes but, as Xiaomi has not made any official announcement for the moment, everything remains up in the air.
Remember that all the news that appear in the beta of a certain software may never see the light but seeing that Xiaomi has insisted on the Vault app and the dark mode for quite some time, there is nothing that tells us that these news do not reach future versions of MIUI 12.
