Worms Rumble: the Battle Royale of Worms

Worms Rumble

If in your time you were caught playing games from MS-DOS, probably one of those that were part of your quick menu created in autoexec.bat was Worms. The fantastic turn-based guerrilla worm game became a brand with the launch of new versions on increasingly modern platforms, and of course, at this point the battle royale could not be missed.

Worms Rumble

The proposal of Worms Rumble is in a way to take what Worms always was to a new level A turn-based war in which only one survivor could remain. In a certain way we could say that it laid the foundations of the battle royale, so it is still poetic that in the middle of 2020 its new installment has this format.

The game will offer us a game with up to 32 simultaneous players in which each worm will have to use their gadgets to kill the rest and win. The game will have several different maps, there will be an infinity of different weapons, among which you will not miss the classic shotguns, rocket launchers, guided missiles and a large number of gadgets with which to surprise your rival. And as an extra, players can wear all kinds of outfits with which to gain that touch of personalization that the public likes so much.

When can we play Worms Rumble?

Worms Rumble

The game will be officially launched next  December , and will arrive on PS4, PS5 and PC through Steam, offering crossplay so that all players of all compatible platforms can play with each other. Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X are left out of the call, so we will see if the developers are encouraged to launch the corresponding versions for the users of these platforms.

Public beta first

Luckily the game will have a trial period open to all in which PS4 and PC players will be able to play the game in advance to see how it works and to help find possible errors in the final release. This trial period will be held on November 6 , although it is unknown how long it will be available.

A classic that is not forgotten

Worms MS-DOS

Worms became a classic thanks to its unmistakable worms. With very nice and striking animations, the little guerrillas crawled around the map and demonstrated their jumping skills when dodging obstacles, something that immediately fell in love with more than one user who defended each of their soldiers dead.

Today, it is possible to play Worms from the browser in its original version, so you already have a distraction until you can get your hands on this Worms Rumble, which looks phenomenal.
