When we enter a web page we may be exposing personal data, information about our team, system, location … It is something that can serve that site to offer us a more personalized service. For example, if we enter a website to check the weather, it will show us information according to our location.
However, many users prefer to always maintain privacy and not expose any type of information. However, it is through the browser where we can show more data. That is where the test created by the Electronic Frontier Foundation comes into play, which offers the possibility that simply through a link we can find out how the browser is protecting our data or, in other words, what possible trackers there could be.
The operation is very simple and is based on seeing if several criteria are met, such as avoiding trackers or seeing if the browser has a unique fingerprint. Keep in mind that there are browsers that take better care of our data, as well as third-party tools that we can use to, for example, avoid trackers when browsing the Internet.
