The causes are varied, and in this article we are going to discuss all the possible scenarios that cause this problem and what you can do about it to solve it .
In the example that we show you in the image above, Windows says that it will restart the PC automatically, but sometimes the same error says that the system is collecting information about the problem, and that when it is finished it will restart the computer. This BSOD usually appears when the PC is shut down incorrectly due to a power outage or similar, but there are times when this problem happens suddenly and for no apparent reason.

We have already mentioned that one of the possible causes of this problem is a power cut, or that for some reason the system has not shut down correctly; It can also happen if it has not started correctly, for example if during the boot sequence the PC was turned off or there was some hardware problem in the PC.
The first thing you should do is look at what the blue screen tells you and note the specific error .
In the example image it tells us Stop Code: BAD SYSTEM CONFIG INFO, but there are many error codes that we can suffer in this same BSOD, such as:

- SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
- IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
- VIDEO_TDR_TIMEOUT_DETECTED
- PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
- SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
- DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION
The best thing you can do in these cases is to access the Microsoft support website and look for the Stop Code that has come out, as there you will find specific instructions on what you should do. In any case, below we are going to tell you the possible solutions to this problem.
Possible solutions
The first thing you should check is if just before you start receiving this error you have made any hardware changes to your computer. If so, try unplugging your new hardware to see if you keep getting the error. If you haven’t installed new hardware on your computer lately and you still have this problem on your PC, then try disconnecting all your external hardware , especially USB devices, and try connecting one by one (first keyboard, then mouse) and turn on the PC to see if the BSOD keeps showing up or not.
If you initially stop receiving the blue screen and after connecting a certain external device you begin to receive it first, it is surely that device that is causing it.
It is possible that the problem is caused by software or drivers and not by the hardware itself, so it is also worth checking, so the next thing to check is the programs you have recently installed. To do this, right-click on the Start button and select “Applications and Features.” In the window that opens, find the “Sort by” drop-down and select Installation date.
Try uninstalling the latest programs that you have installed, especially if they are new drivers like the NVIDIA ones shown in the example image above.
