Fake your location
Once you have the ‘materials’ necessary to send fake locations from a mobile. Now is the time to get down to business and see exactly how it works. Once you stay with the process, or repeat it several times, you will just do it. More than anything, because it does not have any added difficulty and anyone can achieve it in just a few seconds or minutes.
On an Android
We will start with the Fake GPS app. In addition, it is the application page itself on Google Play that tells us the previous steps to be carried out before running the application for the first time:
- Click on ‘ Choose application to simulate location ‘> within the ‘Location’ section in the Android development options> Select Fake GPS. To activate it, we must go to Settings> System / About phone> Press 7 times on the compilation number to enable this hidden tool.
- We must run the app before starting other applications that receive coordinates from the application.
When we carry out all these steps, we will be able to open the application. From here all we have to do is move around the map that appears on the screen and set the address that we want to have as our fake location on Android . In addition, we must click on the play button every time we want to send a false one.

Instead, WhatsApp, like many other messaging applications, let us send an address chosen by ourselves and without it even being close to where we really are. Although, the other person may know if the address you have sent is true or could be falsified. For example, if a link appears under the point on the map, that will be a sign that you looked for the address, instead of attaching the location directly by GPS.
With iPhone
In the case of iPhone phones, we can’t fake it that simple. Well, it will be possible if we have a jailbroken Apple smartphone. But, since it is most likely not your case, we can always send an approximate address of where you are or are going to be. This way, you can make sure that no one knows exactly where you are at the moment.
To do so, you must enter WhatsApp, click on the + button within a conversation> Location . Then, in the ‘Search or write address’ box, you should look for one that you want to send as false, that is, do not put the correct place where you are at that moment. When you write it, you will be able to see how a list comes out around the area that you put. Finally, choose the one you are most interested in sending to that person.
However, we recommend that you remove the exact address to WhatsApp from the settings of your iPhone so as not to accidentally send it to that contact. To do this, go to the Apple phone settings> Privacy> Location > WhatsApp> select the Never option.
Although, the problem with doing this is that, under the location that we have just sent to a contact, the exact place that we have searched will be written. In the event that that person knows that this only happens if we are not sending the real one, they will know that the location we just sent them is totally false.
