Facial unlocking and fingerprint are two of the favorite methods for the vast majority of users. It is the way to protect our terminal, while we will achieve fast and accurate access . But what happens when we are sleeping? Someone could take advantage of our deep sleep to access our terminal. Can we avoid it?
The pattern and the pin have passed away in those terminals where the fingerprint and facial unlocking are present . Huawei mobiles have these two methods. However, unauthorized access continues. We have all heard cases of couples who take advantage of sleep moments to use someone else’s finger and unlock a mobile that is not theirs. There have even been cases of children, who have taken advantage of their parents’ dream to authorize payments through fingerprints or face unlocking. Whichever the case may be, it is best to strengthen the security of our terminal with a trick like the following.
Activate secure lock
Luckily, Huawei terminals have a trick to protect our mobile without having to worry about non-consensual access , even if we are in the depths of a dream. In order to activate this protection, we will have to go to Settings / Biometrics and passwords / Protected lock settings and click on Show Lock option. In some Huawei terminals, the route may vary slightly, being within: Settings / Security and Privacy / Lock screen password / Protected lock settings and activate Show Lock option. Once the option is activated, we can safely lock the mobile, since it can only be unlocked with the password, while the face unlock and the fingerprint will be temporarily disabled.
Select before bed
Once the function is activated, and before going to sleep, we must press the power button as if we were going to turn it off. Now, in the options that appear on the screen, we will press “Lock” and the mobile will enter this safe mode. It should be borne in mind that after unlocking the mobile with the pin, the function is deactivated and the fingerprint and facial unlocking are operational again normally , since it is understood that the use of this function will be occasional, such as the fact of leaving to sleep. To use this secure lock method again, we will have to press and hold the power button again to select it again as we have explained previously.
