The Realme X3 SuperZoom is yet another demonstration that quite a bit can still be offered at a very tight price . A continuist aesthetic

On the front of the X3 SuperZoom we find a 6.6-inch screen that they call Ultra Smooth Display and is, along with the dual integrated camera, one of the aspects that will most attract your attention for performance and for a feature that already it is essential today: its refresh rate.

In terms of color, brightness, contrast and viewing angles, this panel with Full HD resolution (2040 x 1080 pixels) offers very good performance. The factory calibration convinces, although I did have to play a bit with the options to shift the temperature setting a bit towards a somewhat warmer tone.

However, in general the screen allows you to enjoy quite well all kinds of visual content, from videos to photographs or video games. But what is striking is its 120 Hz refresh rate.

With this refresh rate the speed at which each and every one of the elements of the system and other applications are drawn is surprising. A characteristic that is noticeable and makes the experience very rewarding.

Without a doubt, any device that wants to compete this year must include a minimum refresh of those 90 Hz. Realme has done it and without a doubt it is right. It is very likely that it is not the best screen on the market, but it complies perfectly and is very balanced for all kinds of uses.

Power, lots of power

Of the rest of the set of its hardware if you think we speak quickly, because this Realme X3 SuperZoom will not surprise you, although that does not indicate that it is something negative. On the contrary, its technical sheet is known to all and makes it a device with high performance in all kinds of situations and uses. No matter what you want to do, the terminal flies.

As you can imagine, with the Snapdragon 855+, 12 GB of RAM and super fast storage memory, the experience is outstanding with games, playing all kinds of multimedia content, running demanding applications, etc.

Here it must also be said that its customization layer on Android 10 helps a lot. This Realme UI is not more particular than any other layer on the market, it has its pluses and minuses, but with some interesting adjustments such as those that affect the screen, the personalization of the icons and other small details, the truth is that it is easy to adapt to it. And the most important thing is that it performs well.

So, having seen all this, along with a range that offers two days of use without any problem and a convincing 30W fast charge (ideal for those times of trouble), let’s move on to the other important section and which gives its name to this device: the camera.

Superzoom

The Realme X3 SuperZoom is a phone with a very versatile set of cameras.It is next to the screen the great attraction of a terminal that wants to offer something more than what it had been doing until now, and that was not bad at all.

This time we have a total of six cameras. In the front we have two and in the back four. So let’s go by parts, first the front camera.

It offers a set consisting of two 32 and 8 megapixel sensors that offer an angle and wide angle. The performance is good with both, it is true that the wide angle over exposes slightly above the other, but it is somewhat easy to control and you can get striking results in photos you take yourself or in a group with other people.

Of course it is the main camera, the rear camera, that really interests you. Here the set consisting of four sensors has a clear objective: to offer a powerful zoom . With a set consisting of sensors with different resolutions and focal points, I focus on its versatility and quality.

With a periscope-type lens and an 8 MP sensor, the Realme X3 SuperZoom is capable of offering a 5x optical and hybrid zoom of up to 60x . Ok, that last value is not really usable because it is obtained through a cut in the sensor plus digital zoom with which the image loses a lot of quality, but up to 10x it does allow us to get and obtain attractive results.

To me, who personally am more a fan of zoom than other focal lengths, I liked the cameras of the Realme X3 SuperZoom. The work done by the manufacturer since that X2 Pro that I was able to analyze has been taking firm steps. It is true that in some situations the colors may appear somewhat plastered, but in others the performance has little to envy than other supposed terminals with better cameras.

In addition, the camera application comes with night mode, a mode for photographing the stars and some other settings more than among other things, it allows to make slow-motion video with which you can also do quite striking things.

Did I like the camera of this X3 SuperZoom? Yes, via software you could always improve a little more, but in general terms it seems to me that the brand has been right in terms of options with this model. And that for me is more than enough.

A phone to consider

The arrival of the Realme X3 SuperZoom is a new step by the manufacturer in the right direction, at least in my opinion. That last name SuperZoom may seem excessive seeing what other phones offer in terms of zoom, but the truth is that they are not getting.

The camera is one of the main attractions and if you are looking for a high-end experience at a competitive price, it only costs 499 euros , it does quite well. I will not deny that there will always be details that can be improved, but in general this proposal from Realme would say that it is capable of convincing the vast majority.

Without surprising in any section, in everything he does he gets a good grade. So, this is all you have to know, if you want a terminal with good features and a reasonable price, the Realme X3 SuperZoom could be what you were looking for .
