At the beginning of June, Microsoft released patch KB4559309 for all Windows 10 users. This patch brought quite a bit of controversy since, in addition to correcting bugs, it was the one that was beginning to mass install the new Edge on all computers. However, as is customary when we talk about Microsoft, not everything was going to turn out well. And is that, two months later, the company has begun to investigate a series of problems related to this update that are affecting users of the operating system.
Leaving aside the controversy that Microsoft changes, without permission, the default browser of users, since this update began to reach users, there are many who claim that their computers have started to slow down. However, for Microsoft this problem did not exist, since it has never admitted it, until now.

Problems after upgrade
A few days ago, after hundreds of complaints on the company’s official forums , Microsoft has finally admitted that they have begun investigating issues related to this update.
Specifically, the problems that users who are installing this new patch are facing are:
- The computer takes too long to start.
- Errors and all kinds of problems when installing the update.
- The computer becomes very slow at certain random times.
- Wi-Fi does not work or the wireless network is disabled.
- Internet connection works very slow.
- The PC freezes when playing video and audio.
- Crazy memory usage.
Considering that this update has reached all Windows 10 users, from version 1809 until the last 2004 , the number of users potentially affected by these problems is very high. And besides, removing the patch, to solve the problems, is not as simple as it should be.
How to uninstall KB4559309
The first thing that comes to mind when trying to solve these problems is to uninstall the update. We go to the Windows Update update panel , locate it and try to uninstall it. But suddenly, we realize that we cannot, that Windows itself gives us an error.
To delete this update, and end the problems that we mentioned in the previous point, what we must do is restore a previous restore point. This is the only way to reverse the changes introduced by this patch and to be able to make our Windows 10 work normally again.
And to prevent this controversial update from being installed on our PC, what we can do is install the new Edge by hand on our Windows 10. This simple trick will block the download and installation of the update that is giving us problems.
Now that Microsoft is aware of the issues related to this update, it will likely investigate them and offer users a solution that will allow them to use the PC normally again. Now, it is impossible to know when this fix will arrive and if it will do so as a new cumulative patch, or an improved version of the patch that already exists.
