Cornfox & Bros became known a few years ago with the launch of the first installment of Oceanhorn, one of the best role-playing games for iOS and later for other platforms. Six years later they published their second part and now, when we were not expecting it, they surprise with a new installment that is very different from the previous ones, we are talking about Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon .

The first installment of Oceanhorn can be said to be one of the best RPGs that exist for Apple devices as well as the rest of the platforms that it has reached over time. A title that despite its similarities with The Legend of Zelda , something that its developers have never hidden and admit that it has always been a source of inspiration, is quite worth playing.
And not only to that first installment, but also to its second part that after six years of development proposed a quite important leap at the graphic level. Yes, it may again be very similar to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild from Nintendo Switch, but Oceanhorn 2 is still highly recommended for all lovers of the genre.
Well, now, without being something that we could expect, the studio surprises us with a new installment that is like a spin off of it. Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon is an RPG with a very 16-bit console touch . And although today there are those who prefer more realistic graphics, for those of us who grew up with this type of titles it is a delight. But there is more than just graphics reminiscent of those popular Super Nintendo or Megadrive titles.
The new game from Cornfox & Bros has been created with the intention of being able to be enjoyed in collaborative mode. That is, up to four players can play at the same time. This will allow different levels not only to be more enjoyable but also to be “easier” with extra help.
However, as they describe on their website, this title will not only be enjoyed a lot playing collaboratively or quietly at home, it also offers a balance that allows it to be an interesting title for those few minutes of leisure that you have at the end of the day or you want to take advantage while you wait. And since each level is generated differently each time, no game will be identical.
Also, knowing the good work with the two previous installments, it is clear that there are many reasons to trust that this will be one of the launches that will give more value and interest to Apple’s subscription gaming service.
Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon, release date
The new Cornfox & Bros title will launch on Apple Arcade in early 2021. So if all goes well, the expected release date for Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon is January 8 for iOS devices.
Therefore, there is very little left for you to enjoy a game that promises a lot and that will be included in Apple Arcade again.
