It costs like average PS5
The features of the DualSense Edge are quite impressive, but something that will open your eyes and raise your eyebrows to the top of your forehead is its price. With a tag of 239.99 euros , this wireless controller will fill the shelves of the world from January 26, although you will be able to reserve it from October 25, which means that you would practically be paying half a PS5 for one of these controllers, or almost an entire PS5 if you bought a couple. At least you can connect it to the PC to give it extra use.
Why is very expensive?
The price scares, there is no doubt. Taking into account that the official price of the classic DualSense is 74.99 euros, the increase of the new command is 165 euros, so the jump is surprising to say the least. But behind its label a lot of technology is hidden, and if the DualSense already surprised with its adaptive triggers and its haptic vibration, this DualSense Edge goes one step further at the engineering level, achieving details that will convince the most demanding players. It won’t make your PS5 turn on by itself, but it will surely allow you to improve your Call of Duty score.

Customize it how you want
To begin with, the most striking thing is in its analog sticks , since they are completely replaceable . You can change the pads for taller models or with a different grip, but you can also change the entire stick module to replace it with a new one in case so many hours of use take their toll.
Two customizable buttons are hidden in the lower part as we have already seen in other controllers, but in your case these buttons can be customized with control levers or fins to achieve a more accurate click as you grip the controller. These buttons respond to the names of RB and LB .
Adaptive triggers can now be adjusted in depth (just like on the Xbox Elite Controller) and as a big new feature, the analog sticks can now be adjusted to define sensitivity and dead zone.
The simplest section affects the software, and it is that this control is completely customizable in its controls, being able to give specific functions to the lower triggers and being able to access quick adjustments such as the volume level of the headphones or activate certain configuration profiles.
Are there alternatives?
Today it is quite difficult to find controls similar to the PlayStation DualSense, especially due to the exclusive function of the adaptive triggers. But if we had to recommend an alternative, the Scuf Gaming models offer fantastic build quality and include customizable lower triggers.
