When we make use of the current extensive web browsers, whatever option we have opted for, they usually use a personal profile. In this way programs such as Edge, Firefox or Chrome , associate a series of internal data, to that profile.
Therefore in these same lines we will focus on one of the most popular alternatives of this type such as Mozilla Firefox. And this is a software that, as with most programs of this type, usually saves certain files of our profile in the system. These files include cookies, bookmarks , add-ons, history etc. In addition, we must bear in mind that the program allows you to create and maintain multiple profiles, each with its own data and folders.

Never lose Firefox profile data
Let us start from the base that the software itself can be updated automatically when a new version comes out. Thus, we may want to make a backup of this data from time to time, in case something strange happens. This will allow us to safely store everything related to our profile , so that we can restore it later. To say that this is something we can do ourselves by hand, or from an application called Simple Firefox Backup .

That is why we can confirm that making a backup of a Firefox profile is not difficult. So, if what we want is to make a manual backup, this is achieved from the Windows File Explorer. Once in this, we will have to place ourselves in the folder in which the Mozilla program stores the data of each registered user. We will not have to place ourselves in the following disk path: “C: / Users / USER / AppData / Local / Mozilla / Firefox / Profiles”.
Here we can see a folder for each user previously registered in Firefox. Therefore we will only have to store them in another location or storage device, such as a USB stick.
Restore that profile backup
On the other hand we can make that same backup of profile data from this simple portable application. For this we can download it from this link and execute it. Then we just have to click on Create Firefox Backup so that the program creates that copy by itself. This new folder will appear on the screen , so to restore it later, we just have to re-run the application, and click on Restore Backup.

On the other hand, in the case that we have made the backup by ourselves by hand, to restore it we will have to place ourselves on the same route specified before. In it, specifically in the Profiles folder, we can already copy the user folders previously copied by hand. This is something that will also be very useful in the event that we plan to migrate that same user to a new PC . The process will be the same, and so we will have everything stored over time, on the new computer, even if we install Fiefox without the Internet .
