To get Android 10 to our Xiaomi Mi A1 we will resort to a custom ROM , which allows us to enjoy this version without depending on the manufacturer. In addition we can count on the reassurance that it is developed by two teams that have officially certified it and are very popular in the Android community, we refer to the Pixel Experience ROM and the DerpFest ROM .
Before starting with the necessary steps we have to recommend taking all your photos, videos and content , because everything on our mobile will be deleted and we will have no chance of recovering it. We must also mention that this is a process for which we need to have some prior knowledge and we must be careful if we do not want to take any risks.
First of all we have to unlock the bootloader of our mobile and install the TWRP tool that will allow us to install Android 10 later. In our case we will follow the next steps with the Pixel Experience ROM as we have a greater number of users who have already tried it and therefore offer us greater security, although in both cases it will be similar.
We have to download these files on our mobile and move it to the root folder of our mobile:

- Pixel Experience ROM
- Once we have the files, we check that the battery is practically complete or better yet, connect it to the charging cable.
- We restart the mobile with the TWRP tool.
- Within the TWRP tool we will first have to make a full backup of the original software.
- We then wipe the cache and data before flashing the Android 10 ROM.
- The next thing is to install the Pixel Experience ROM with the path Install> Install Zip> selecting the file with the name PixelExperiece.zip
- To finish we restart the device and configure it.

Once we have completed all these steps we will have access to all the Android 10 options on the Xiaomi Mi A1 and therefore access to gestures or dark mode in all applications. Application access controls or location access among other things are other of the most important changes.
