From the Settings menu

The first of them is that if within the safe mode the functions still do not work, it will mean that it is not a third party problem, but that the buttons are damaged. On the other hand, if the buttons work normally, the problem will come from an application or a system error.

To activate it and while the mobile is on , you just have to hold the device’s power button until a screen appears that says “Restart in safe mode” . If it’s off, just press the power button, and when the device’s startup animation comes out, press and hold the volume down button .

If none of these choices convince you, and you have made sure that the buttons are not dusty, dirty or wet and everything is apparently normal, the only option is to fix the volume buttons .
