For this reason, we are going to see how to activate the new Huawei function to find applications faster than ever.
Huawei continues to emphasize the commitment to offer consumers the best experience and, therefore, they believe that their future lies in open ecosystems The company has made great strides in the development of the Huawei AppGallery in a short time, with more than 1.5M of developers and content providers, currently working on the platform. In addition, Huawei is encouraging the most important developers to decide to switch to its development plan, in order to catch up with Google.
One of those tools allows you to have a faster control of the application download, they are the placement of a new Widget that is responsible for finding apps with Petal Search. All Huawei users can download Petal Search from the App Gallery, while the new Widget is integrated in the latest updates of the P40 series and will do so in future Huawei terminals.
Add “Search Applications”
To configure this widget on the desktop we must perform the pinch out gesture to access the home screen settings . Then we tap on “Widgets” at the bottom and slide to the left until we find “Petal Search”. Once found we must keep it pressed to drag it to the home screen and drop it there. Once done, it will be anchored on the desktop like any other search bar.
Find the apps and install them
Once done, we can simply click on the “Search applications” bar on the home screen to start . We will be shown the main applications that we may want to download. We just have to enter the name of the application we are looking for in the search bar.
Once done, the Petal Search engine will search for applications and show the most relevant results according to the search. All those that we can download from AppGallery, install from an official link, use the web version or install from third-party stores will have priority.
