Regardless of the megapixels or the number of sensors that our Huawei smartphone has, the successive versions of EMUI have always been adding improvements in the camera app, which in general, and with few exceptions, are common to all models. With the arrival of EMUI 11, some interesting news have also been added where the camera is the protagonist.
Sometimes small changes can make a difference, to provide a more comfortable user experience. The Huawei community has been providing improvements for years that often end in the final versions of aspects as important as the EMUI camera app. We are going to take a look at the most outstanding ones that the new version integrates with respect to the previous ones, and that many users will find when they finally update to EMUI 11.
EMUI 11 camera improvements
Change in RAW option
One of the changes has to do with how to save image files in professional format. Previously, there was a RAW switch next to a JPG-L option in the Pro mode viewer. These settings allow you to take pictures in these formats, ie RAW, JPG-L and normal JPG. Now the switch for these options has been merged and they are shown as the JPG switch , which has all three options built in. In this way, the selection within the same box is simplified.
The exposure icon and focus frame
Now when a video is recorded, both the exposure icon and the focus frame will remain in the viewfinder if we touch the focus icon before or during video recording. This is intended to help see and adjust this parameter in real time when we are in the middle of recording a video.

Switch modes
Now, it is possible to switch between the different camera modes , sliding with your finger towards the sides of the screen, just as we change the screen on the desktop
Document scanning
Although this feature does not directly affect the camera app, it does come into play. As in EMUI 11, the notepad has been improved with an integrated document scan. In this way, when you click on the function , the camera viewfinder will open to take the photo.

Remove metadata from photos
When we take a photo, the image contains certain information, about what device it was taken with, the date and time or even the location of the photo. In EMUI 11 you can delete this information when sharing a photo, with two new options that allow you to delete the information about the geolocation of the photo, and data related to the terminal.
