Most users do not know what hardware they have on their computer. Or they only know some of the best known components, such as the amount of RAM or hard disk space. Knowing the hardware of our computer can be very useful to know in which range we move, if our team is powerful enough to run some programs and games and even when it comes to expanding and improving it. There are many programs to know the technical data of our PC. And this time we are going to talk about GFXplorer.
GFXplorer is a simple tool for Windows that allows us to easily find all the important technical information of our computer, both hardware and software.
This tool has a tab-based interface that is very easy to understand. Each tab belongs to a certain category and in it we can find all the information related to that category to read it quickly and easily. In addition, it also allows exporting data from our PC to a TXT text document or an RTF rich document.
The Tools tab also offers a series of utilities for Windows that will allow us to monitor the performance of the computer and, in addition, perform a quick maintenance of our PC.
How GFXplorer works
The first thing we must do to use this program is to download it from the following link . We can choose between downloading an installable version, to leave it installed on our PC, or a portable version that we can use from a USB.
When we run the program for the first time we find its main interface. As we can see, under the program logo, we will find the tabs with the different categories. The first allows us to easily know everything related to the operating system of our PC.

Next to the Windows tab we will find two other tabs from which we can easily know information about the hardware of our PC . For example, we will be able to know the data of the CPU, RAM and motherboard, as well as video, audio and system hard drives.

These first 3 tabs are merely informative, they do not allow us to do much with the configuration of the PC. However, below we will find another interesting tab: Tools.
“Tools” tab: utilities for Windows 10
In the “Tools” tab we will be able to find all kinds of tools to manage our PC and control its operation.

These tabs are divided mainly into two categories. On the one hand we will have the ” System Tools “, which will allow us, for example, to quickly open the Windows registry, open the DirectX diagnostic tool, the screen configuration or the task manager.
On the other hand, the ” System Utilities ” will allow us to manage, clean and optimize our computer. From them we can, for example, open the disk manager, the event viewer, the hard disk cleaning tool, access the shared folders and open the performance monitor, among other functions.

It is certainly not one of the most complete programs we can find to know the details of our computer, but it is not one of the simplest. Thanks to GFXplorer we will always be able to have on hand the hardware details of our PC and access very easily the information and administration tools that Windows offers us.
