The design of any product, whether physical or digital, is the first thing that draws attention to the user. If besides being beautiful, it is much better functional, because the experience of use and satisfaction improve significantly. Therefore, this redesign of Microsoft is late but strongly in the face of what the company will offer in the immediate future.
Microsoft and his best work on design issues

The design of Microsoft products and especially its software has never been the highlight. At least, it has been that way until Satya Nadella arrived at the company and began to focus more on everything related to the style guides and the importance that this has in the final product.
About a year ago, a first job was done that affected the icons of Office 365 applications . Although it was not the only one, some of its most iconic applications began to show a striking and attractive visual experience, were the first steps of Fluent Design.
Even so, software issues had to admit that Apple‘s operating systems and many of the applications available in their stores were at a higher level. More consistent interfaces than despite the occasional failure, because nothing is perfect, they offered that plus that the same foot user did not appreciate so much but that for the design lover it was a great added value.
However, Microsoft all this is changing. Apple is still at a very good level, also many of those who develop for their platforms, but the Redmond company is putting the batteries spectacularly.
If the operating systems had not really stood out and the improvements of Windows 10 with some new icons were marred by the recycling of icons seen in previous versions, all that will now be changing. Along with the improvements in the experience of their mobile applications, something you can see in the next video, more completely redesigned icons will arrive.
As Jon Friedman, vice president of design and research for the company, says, adopting the new principles of Fluent Design will give an important boost to the entire visual identity of many Microsoft products. With more than 100 new icons on the way , a much more flexible and updated look will be achieved for the future of new products and releases. But not only that, but also the ability to serve as a recognizable product tool. That is, as soon as you see the icons, the user will be able to know that it is an application of the company.
If you are interested in learning more about Fluent Design, Microsoft’s own website perfectly explains the bases that will shape everything that is to come. Something that will be more important in the new devices that could mark the next ten years for the company, such as the Microsoft Duo that we already met a couple of months ago.
