It was the Xiaomi Mi Note 10, the first mobile on the market to boast a 108 megapixel main sensor . This happened at the end of 2019, and what seemed crazy then, they have practically become a standard in many high-end terminals. This is so to the point that many manufacturers have chosen to lower the bar or have not even integrated that capacity yet.
Since then, and almost a year and a half have passed since the premiere of the Xiaomi terminal, the big question has been where the next step will be. We know that manufacturers, happy to boast of numbers, although we know very well that more does not have to mean better, they will soon offer us cameras of much greater capacity. The eyes have been on Xiaomi itself, Samsung, Huawei or Realme, but no one has taken ZTE into account.

In ZTE’s new Axon 30 Pro?
This manufacturer continues to have its leading role and to everyone’s surprise, it was the first to present the first smartphone with a selfie camera hidden under the screen, with the ZTE Axon 20 5G. Now, it could surprise again with the launch of the first mobile on the market with a 200 megapixel main sensor. Again it has been the Chinese social network Weibo, where the news has jumped. In it, an official representative of ZTE states that the next Axon 30 Pro will have a Snapdragon 888 processor, which up to that point is not alarming.

However, it also details the new IPS Spectra 580, a new graphics processing chip that supports 200 megapixel sensors. The information also makes special mention of the possibility of the terminal in very adverse light situations, as low as 0.1 lumens. Recording in 4K or the possibility of 10-bit color are also other outstanding features.
New “Made in Samsung” sensor
The information coincides with those of the Leaker Whylab , who in the same social network, has stated emphatically that the new Axon 30 Pro will have a still unpublished 200 megapixel sensor manufactured by Samsung, with a size of 1 / 1.37 ” , slightly smaller than today’s 108 megapixel sensors, including the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. Rumor has it that the sensor supports two native pixel grouping modes: 4-in-1 and 16-in-1, capable of outputting 50 megapixel MP and 12.5 megapixel still images effectively. 16K video recording is also on the list of supported features, but there is no mobile processor that can capture video in such high resolution yet.
