Emailme: iOS App to Send Emails as a Reminder

Emailme

Throughout the day many things we have in mind and we do not always have the mental capacity to remember them all. There are note and reminder applications for this, but many times they end up being disabled apps and therefore they do not help us to remember everything. This is where applications like Emailme come into play, which allows you to send you email reminders so that nothing happens to you. We analyze it in full in this article.

What is Emailme app? It’s free?

This application also known as “Send me Email” in Spanish, is available in the App Store and has compatibility with iPhone, iPad and Mac. Of course, for the first two you need to have at least iOS 13 or iPadOS 13 or any later version. For computers it will be necessary to have Apple Silicon and not an Intel processor. And yes, it is completely free, although it has a monthly subscription that we will talk about later and that is focused only on a certain audience.

Emailme App

It is created by Manuel Escrig, a Spanish developer who also has other interesting applications in the App Store such as Digital Photo Frame or People Tracker Pro, focused on creating presentations and tracking locations respectively.

The main mission of Emailme is to be able to send you emails quickly so that they appear in your inbox. And yes, we already know that you can send emails from your own email, worth the redundancy. However, this app allows you to do it in a much faster and more complete way, as we will analyze below.

Ideal if you always check the email

At the beginning we commented on the existence of applications focused on reminders and that are probably much more complete than Emailme in this sense. However, we believe that his main focus is on those who, whether for work or personal matters, check their email inbox daily. If you are also a person who does it several times a day, the app makes even more sense because then it will be impossible for you to ignore everything that you send yourself.

Customizable interface

It’s true that when an app is beautiful, you don’t need to touch anything. Emailme adapts perfectly to the native interface of the iPhone and iPad with a minimalist style as well as functional. However, the customization options it offers do not hurt, from changing the icon of the app itself to being able to customize widgets, going through changing the colorful theme of the application.

As soon as you open the application you will find the important thing: the interface to send emails. Here you can write your text, be it more or less short, being able to attach images or attached documents that form an interesting range of possibilities in which to integrate all kinds of reminders.

In the configuration part of the application you will find the following settings:

  • Recipients list : here you can add the recipients of your emails. Normally it will be you, but if you want to use the app to send these quick notices to other people you can too. You can also choose the signature of this email.
  • Advanced configuration : here you can select things as interesting as the origin of the email, activate the possibility that when you enter, what you have copied to the clipboard is automatically pasted, as well as other settings related to sounds, images or widget that we will comment on later .
  • Select theme : place where you can select the theme you like the most for the app, as well as the app icon.
  • Subscription plan : part in which you can activate the premium version.
  • Restore Purchases : if you have previously purchased the app, you can restore it here.
  • Others : if you want to rate the app, send suggestions or share it, you can do so with a direct access from these settings. You can also find information about the developers.

The widget is everything (or almost)

The main advantage of an app of this style compared to the possibility of sending you emails manually is to be able to do it much faster. This is where the widget comes into play. Unfortunately at the time of writing this article is not optimized for iOS and iPadOS 14 in terms of style and being able to put it anywhere on the screen, but surely it will be soon. Still it is tremendously useful.

Widget Emailme App

In the settings section that we mentioned above you can choose to which recipient by default you will send the emails from the widget. There are three possibilities within it, that of directly sending a reminder or clipboard text and that of having a quick and direct access to open the app to send the message manually.

You do not receive the emails from the app?

One of the initial problems that you could experience with this app is not seeing the emails in your inbox, but don’t worry because it is not a failure of this app but of the email server. It is very possible that it is hosted in spam, so you should check this folder and tell your mail service that it is not spam.

Email de Emailme App

The address from which the mails are sent is info@emailmeapp.net. It is a secure server and does not compromise your data in any case. Although the delivery times may depend on your internet connection, the truth is that under normal circumstances it will not take more than a few seconds for the message to appear in your inbox from the moment you send it.

In which cases the premium version compensates

In the first section we told you about the existence of this possibility and that is that for 6.99 euros per month you can access the most advanced version. However, it would be absurd to recommend it for everyone, since its main advantage is to be able to send emails to yourself without any limit per day, while normally there is a limit. If you are going to use the Emailme app sporadically or on a few occasions a day, it will surely not compensate you. In any case, we recommend you try the free version and if it falls short you can purchase this subscription, which also gives you the first 7 days.
