This year the changes in this section have been more than we could expect, seeking that the user does not have complications when interacting with them and increasing the possibilities.
All these changes will be applied to the mobile phones that receive the performance either in beta or stable version. In addition, it is still likely that some extra changes will be added or adapted with modifications to the customization layers of each manufacturer. Differentiated notifications in sections
Among the changes that we find in Android 11 there is a new way to differentiate notifications, which makes it easier to identify each of the sections. As we can see in the images, notifications now divide into three sections : Conversations, Alert notifications and Silenced notifications. Conversations are where more changes are incorporated, since they allow us to interact with more options and in a better way.
These changes reach WhatsApp, Telegram, messages and all those platforms that are acquiring the necessary API that Google has developed. When we have several conversations in the same application, they joined us and will show it to us on the same notification card. When deploying it, we will be able to respond from our own notified something that we already did before and mark it as read.
New priorities
Even Android 10 when we keep our finger on a notification, the option to mark it as important or other appears, now this changes and allows us to receive three ways. The first option in the notifications is the priority with which these notifications will always be shown at the top, it will show us on the lock screen the contact profile image in the case of a conversation and you can interrupt the mode do not disturb.
The name of important and another disappears to be called alert or silence. In alert it will be one more notification that can be silenced with the do not disturb mode or we can choose silence, making it not sound in any case and it does not even show on the top of the smartphone.
Notification history on Android 11
One of the great wishes among users was the possibility of having a history with which to have access to the news they had received at or throughout the day. This option that comes with Android 11 still has its limitations, since it only allows us to see those notifications that we have dismissed without having read or interacted with them.
The history button in Android 11 is located at the bottom left of all notifications and touching it takes us to the history where we will see everything that has gone through our notifications and we have tilted. From this same point we will be able to activate or deactivate it if it is not useful for us.
Bubbles to reply messages
Responding messages will change forever with Android 11, we have already seen that responses from notifications are still available, but also Facebook Messenger-style bubbles are added. In this case we can still only activate them in the Messenger application itself but the API has already been released and it is a matter of time that platforms like WhatsApp adapt it.
In the applications that have access to the bubbles we will see in the lower right part an identifying icon, where if we touch it, this method will begin to be used. From that moment the chat notification in Android 11 we can move it as a bubble to the space we want on our screen and by touching it, a adapted version of the application will be displayed where we can write, send emoticons or send news and voice, which are all the possibilities of each app.
