Post alerts let you know what’s new in posts from the people you follow before anyone else, so you can see them immediately when they happen. They are the notifications of the service, which you can activate, deactivate or configure for certain users how and when you want.
With them, you will not miss anything, and if you want to pause them at a certain time, or indefinitely, you can do that too. For example, if you go on vacation or it seems to you that there are many and you do not give enough. You can also choose the ones you are interested in receiving and the ones you are not , there are even notifications that can be sent to you by email. If you want to know what you can do, read on!
How to activate them
To be able to activate notifications from Instagram itself and find out everything before anyone else , you have it very simple, you just have to follow these steps:
- open instagram
- go to your profile
- Go to Settings (3 lines from the top right corner)
- Scroll down to the Notifications section
- Go section by section
- Mark your preferred option in each section of the different sections
- The changes will have been saved and you will receive the notifications as you have indicated
- If you want not to receive notifications, all you have to do is hit Pause all
The notifications that you can adjust are these:
- Posts, stories and comments
- Accounts you follow and followers
- Calls and direct messages
- Live Videos and Reels
- fundraisers
- from instagram
- Email notifications
- Shopping
What if you are only interested in one person?
If you only want to have information about the news on Instagram of a specific person , you can also do it. You just have to go to that person’s profile , which you can search, go from a publication or from your followers or people you follow.
Once in your profile you will have to click on the bell image in the upper right corner. If you click on it you can see what they can warn you about.
You can choose, by checking or unchecking options, if you want to be informed of their:
- Publications
- stories
- Videos
- reels
- When you broadcast live
As you can see, it is very simple and practical, and you can do it with all the people you are interested in receiving notifications from. If you want them to do it for all people or something that does not appear there, you will have to do what we have told you before, from the app configuration.
If it doesn’t work for you or you want something else
One of the main reasons why notifications do not work as they should or you want to be notified in a certain way is that you have notifications on your phone turned off for this service or in general. If you are looking to fix it, you can do it from your own phone.
To do this you will have to go to the settings of your mobile, to the application management section, search for Instagram and in its section give Manage notifications. Depending on your mobile, configuring notifications may be different.
You can change them as you see fit, so that they are active and also work as you want. There are a plethora of possibilities to choose from, including direct, comment likes, comments, friends, first posts and stories, etc.
You can remove some, add others, to adapt it to your needs. Above all, check that they are active if you want to receive them.
