There is no doubt that many users would be surprised, if they really knew in a concrete way the time they spend looking at the mobile screen, or within certain applications. To try to raise awareness of this, Google introduced the Digital Wellbeing function in Android 9, as that help to find a balance between our real life and the time spent on our smartphones.

The mobile is a continuous flow of distractions, which can impede proper performance at work or studies. They even distract when we are watching a movie or a series making us have to stop the playback continuously. As we say, Digital Wellbeing is a tool that allows awareness of long exposures to the mobile screen. Realme mobiles have this feature, enhanced with the “Distraction-Free Mode” exclusively present in Realme UI.

How to activate Distraction-free Mode
In order to activate it, we must slide the quick functions bar from the top of the screen, and look for the “Modes” icon. We also find it within Settings / Digital Wellbeing and Parental Controls / Distraction Free Mode. Once inside we will see three modes to activate:
- Standard mode : normal mode without restrictions of any kind
- Driving mode : block notifications when we are connected by Bluetooth to a handsfree to avoid distractions
- Distraction-free mode: block all notifications and play background music.

Timer and background music
By activating Distraction Free Mode, Realme UI blocks all kinds of notifications to help you disconnect. Unlike Google’s distraction-free mode, in this case we will have a single screen from which we cannot leave. In it we will see a timer, a button to change the background and background music , a button to pause, and another to exit. I mean, it really restricts access to the phone at all.

Choose the “mantra” and disconnect
This mode allows you to activate a “Personal Mantra” that can be a motivating phrase or any other, which helps us meet the established disconnection period . To exit the Mode without Distractions we will only have to touch on exit and confirm, but if we do it before the set time, the statistics will not be recorded. In the same way, if we want a total disconnection mode and not only avoid notifications, we can uncheck “Incoming call alerts” to prevent them from calling us even during disconnection time. In addition, and as something positive to add, during the time that we have this mode activated, we can save some battery by avoiding sounds, vibrations and other elements that weigh down autonomy at the end of the day.
